Sawn timber products under the brand Taiga are manufactured at the Ilim Timber sawmill in Ust-Ilimsk.

Technical specifications for Taiga timber products were developed in accordance with the GOST 26002-83 standard “Coniferous sawn timber of Northern grading for export”, amended and modified to accommodate current market demand and conditions.

Drying

To reduce moisture content to 18 ± 2% prior to shipping, Valmet counter-flow continuous dry kilns are used.

Low-temperature drying ensures that natural physical and mechanical properties, including density and color, remain intact and prevents faults and damage. Hot air with an input temperature of 60º С serves as a drying agent.

No chemicals are used for treatment of logs and throughout the production process.
