Ilim Timber Industry to acquire Tolleson Lumber – becomes Top-10 largest global sawmill producer and seeks further expansion in North America
Ilim Timber Industry (ITI) has entered into an agreement to acquire North American lumber producer, Tolleson Lumber Company, Inc. of Perry, Georgia (Tolleson), in partnership with management. ITI is committed to support Tolleson’s strategy to acquire additional capacity in North America.

Ilim Bratsk Plywood Mill will install new equipment
Ilim Bratsk Plywood Mill, operated by Ilim Timber, placed an order for a number of production systems by Raute Corp. The total value of the contract is ? 12 mln. The order includes two complete peeling and drying lines, which are to be supplied by the end of 2011. This is the first step of an extensive modernization investment project in Bratsk. The new machinery will replace the existing veneer production lines.

Ilim Timber – Member of the BSHD
Since 1 September 2010, Ilim Timber joined the Bundesverband S?ge- und Holzindustrie Deutschland (BSHD - "Federal association of the sawmill and wood industry"). The association, with its head office in Berlin, represents the interests of the German sawmill and wood industry at federal level and in European and international organisations.

Ilim Timber started operations at Ilim Timber Bavaria (Landsberg am Lech) on the first week of September. The mill had been stopped more than a year ago when Klausner Group, the previous owner of the mill, got in financial turbulence during the economic crisis.

Successful deal closing on acquisition of Klausner Nordic Timber and Klausner Holz Bayern sawmills by Ilim Timber
Ilim Timber successfully acquired production assets of Klausner Group ( Klausner Nordic Timber and Klausner Holz Bayern ) and the new sawmill line (Linck). Brand new equipment will be installed within the frame of modernization of the plant in Ust'-Ilimsk. The amount of the transaction exceeded EUR 100 million. Sberbank and Transcredit Bank took part in financing of the transaction. Investment banking service has been provided by Latum Investment Banking Services.

Ilim Timber announces acquisition of KNT/KHB and one line made by Linck, EUWID Wood Products and Panels, June 23 2010
The Russian forestry group Ilim Timber Industry (St. Petersburg) has hammered out the final details of its take-over of two sawmills run by Klausner Nordic Timber GmbH (KNT; Wismar) and Klausner Holz Bayern GmbH (KHB; Landsberg) from Klausner group (Saalburg-Ebersdorf). These sites will be purchased in a share deal.

Ilim Timber acquires Klausner’s KHB and KNT mills
According to the agreement, signed by the leading Russian Forestry Company Ilim Timber and the German Klausner Group, Ilim Timber acquires two of Klausner’s sawmills - Klausner Holz Bayern and Klausner Nordic Timber. Mills production capacities are respectively 800 thous. and 1100 thous. m3 of sawn timber per year.

The Third Russian-Finnish Forest Summit was conducted in St.Petersburg
On October, 25th the Third Russian-Finnish Forest Summit organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation was conducted in St.-Petersburg. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Finland Matti Vanhanen took part in the summit.
